Repeat of "Out of the Darkness"
Fear, Faith, Synchronicity
Hello again friends,
I apologize that my posts have been coming out later and later each month. I finally realized that I need to take what I hope will be a “brief medical leave” while I go through some tests. In the meantime, I would like to share some of my earlier favorites. When I did this in September, I received a number of positive responses from people who said they enjoyed reading them again. And my new subscribers enjoyed them as well. So please send some positive healing energy my way so that I can be sending out some new “God Stories” very soon. Love and blessings, Bette
It was a special night - my grandson’s high school graduation. I had a 40 mile drive ahead of me, and I was LATE. When I finally pulled into the crowded parking lot, I could hear the band warming up on the football field. I drove in and out through the rows of cars. No spaces available. I exited at the far end of the lot and drove onto a deserted city street. It was getting dark. The area was unfamiliar. A group of young men were hanging out under a streetlight. I quickly moved on and continued to drive even farther from the school. Still no place to park. How am I going to find my way back?
I drove down yet another deserted street and at last I pulled into a space. I stepped out of the car, locked it, and stood in the dark wondering what to do next. Should I try to retrace my meandering route? Or should I step out in a new unfamiliar direction, hoping to find a shorter way back – and possibly get really lost? Both thoughts were terrifying! No time for panic. No time for a long, complicated prayer – I just breathed a quick “Help me God!”
I peered down the darkened street. Highlighted in little pools of yellow light under each streetlamp came a golf cart, driven by a blond young woman wearing a brown shirt with a security insignia. As she pulled up next to me I said, “You must be an angel! Can you drive me to the graduation ceremonies?” “Sure” she said. “Hop in.” We arrived at the gate just as the program was starting. I enthusiastically thanked her as I jumped out of the cart. And I was happily saying, “Thank you God!” as I rushed off to watch my grandson walk onto the field.
The following week, when I related my “God story” to my skeptical engineer son, he teased me saying, “I suppose you think that woman was an angel. Did that golf cart go ‘poof!’ and disappear without a trace as soon as you jumped out?”
I was used to his provocative questioning, so I calmly replied, “Her name was Michelle and she evidently finished working after she dropped me off. What is amazing is that she happened to be on that street in that deserted area at the very time I was there and was able to provide exactly the help I needed right at the time I needed it.” My son just nodded and smiled and walked away. He had heard many “God stories” like this from me before.
I don’t know how to explain these events. There are many theories involving our evolving consciousness. But I have decided I don’t really need an explanation – I am just grateful to be having the experience.
I believe we may encounter security guards, nurses, our neighbors, and even passing strangers arriving as “angels” whenever we are in a threatening or emotional situation and need assistance. I believe our thoughts and our prayers are communicating with a benevolent higher power. In that field of unlimited possibilities, the Universe arranges for these “angels” to provide just what we need, exactly when we need them!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------QUOTES:
“These are signs from the universe helping to guide you along your path to living a life of happiness, abundance, and fulfillment. This is synchronicity, or meaningful coincidences.” Depak Chopra - “Infinite Possibilities” Jan. 2019
“Synchronicity is an experience of two or more events which occur in a meaningful manner, but which are causally un-related. In order to be 'synchronistic', the events must be related to one another temporally, and the chance that they would occur together by random chance must be very small.”

Indeed, I agree with your: "I believe our thoughts and our prayers are communicating with a benevolent higher power. In that field of unlimited possibilities, the Universe arranges for these “angels” to provide just what we need, exactly when we need them!!" I recently heard Carolin Myss define Miracles as, “When Heaven bends the Laws of Nature just for you." She notes: ”Miracles are revealed because of our own beliefs. Miracles are essential our health and well-being when we have exhausted other resources."
Thank you for sharing your powerful reMINDer to BELIEVE.
I celebrate that you had the courage and tenacity to make it to your grandson's graduation...a not to be missed event of a lifetime...as your loving heart knew! Blessings, CC
I liked this story very much, Betty. It reminded me of a similar experience when I lost my car. When I told a woman getting into her car about it, she immediately cleared her front seat, ushered me and drove me around until I found it. I, too believe in angels.
